Gracie’s Red 2021
Price: $20.00
Summary: Gracie the Greyhound chose the winemaker and his wife as her furever home back in 2015 after spending her first 3 years of life in the Florida dog track circuit. Hot summers are definitely not her thing, so she came north to find a restful respite in cooler climes. Little did she know that she was going to be living above a winery! Since coming to Westford, Gracie has made herself quite at home as the furbaby of the family, and now rules the roost as only “Princess” Gracie can with a gentle paw, dramatic side eye, or the occasional stamp and stiff tail wag to guide her humans where she pleases. OK, when treats are involved, the stamp-and-wag feature prominently in her vocabulary! We’ve been looking for a wine to name in Gracie’s honor, but had to wait until just the right blend of flavor, fruitiness, and playfulness came along…
Tasting Notes:
A playful mix of bright strawberry, mulberry, and bing cherry followed by a light mellow finish with notes of violets, a hint of milk chocolate, and lingering minerality…just perfect for those dog days of summer.
